Sports photography - BMX

Image
I'm not great at doing sports photos because I haven't had the chance to do any of it apart from some occasions. I armed myself with my 70-300 f2.8 lens and the 18-105 f3.5-5.6 lens and spent a couple of hours photographing my friend's son at his BMX training. It was the 1st of November 2015 and the sun was quite low as expected for the time of year, which played in my advantage of not causing huge shadows on surfaces facing downwards. Fooooood! Who doesn't like good food? Over the years, I had the chance to photograph some great looking and tasting food at weddings, home and parties. I remember once I made a fish finger sandwich for lunch just because I wanted to photograph it.  What a life, aye? My Portugal visit When I was in Portugal, I went to a local fish market early one morning in Portimao with some of my friends.    Henley Hannah, my friend, made us a great lunch on Henley one year. It was rude not to take some low depth of field shots. Enjoy them.     Festive ones Some festive photos from Christmas and the joyous occasion of someone's wedding.       The ultimate Fish finger sandwich! Amazing with a little bit of mayonnaise and some chilli on top.

Exposure is measured in  lux   seconds , and can be computed from  exposure value  (EV) and scene luminance in a specified region. In photographic jargon,  an exposure  generally refers to a single  shutter cycle . For example: a long exposure refers to a single, protracted shutter cycle to capture enough low-in
